About the Cinematographer

Thomas Dockum Baker

I am a junior at Burr and Burton Academy, this is my second semester taking this class. I was born in St. Albans, VT and moved to Rutland at the age of only 15 weeks. I lived there up until my freshman year, where I moved to Londonderry and began attending BBA. I love sports, hanging out with my friends and video games. I play basketball and soccer and love watching all sports. When the basketball season is over I play basketball during the spring up in Burlington. I used to play travel soccer in the spring too, but gave that up for basketball. My father's name is Jeremy, my mother's is Stacy and I have a younger sister at BBA who's name is Laurel. I also have a pet dog named Miah and a cat named Iris. My family is very close and I am very grateful for our close relationship. I am also very excited to take this class again, allowing me to expand my knowledge and skillset. I honestly believe that it will take a lot for me to be as good as I'd like to be, but I am ready for the challenge. I like other classes like math and personal fitness and like to work hard in school. When I leave High School I am planning on going to college, hopefully somewhere down in the south and would like to major in Business. I consider myself to be a very honest and honorable person who works hard and is very passionate. During the summer I work at Ekwanok as a caddie and spend a lot of time with friends and family. Regarding this class, I feel as if it definitely time for me to step up and make some good movies. I have a lot of good ideas but feel like I am finally ready to put it all together. Part of the reason that I am taking this class in the first semester is so I can begin making films early. allowing me to make more than I did last year. I would like to become better as a director and being behind a camera.
